In need of breeders, the keepers of Halo go in search of women who have enough solence to give them the offspring they desire. To Storm's dismay, she has just enough to be brought before the devastatingly handsome commander, leaving her brother and mother for dead. Instead of giving her to one of his soldiers, he declares he’ll keep her for himself.

But there’s one catch: he promises to never touch her. Not unless she asks for it—or runs. 

With grief crashing over her, all Storm has left is an uncontrollable rage and lust for the man she now calls her husband. The man she proclaims she will hate until her last breath… unless she can escape him first.
